'Diwali is a symbol of hope for humankind. May it bring universal compassion, an inner joy of peace, love and the awareness of unity to all.'
Little pals of Pre-Primary wing welcomed the festival of lights on October 21, 2022’.As the most important work done before Diwali is Decorating home. As such to inculcate the value of working together and make the school clean, students of Grade 1 cleaned their classrooms with magnificent spirits. Little kids unfolded their creative abilities by engaging themselves in doing decoration of corridors, decorating diyas etc. Special PowerPoint Presentation on Diwali was shown to the children. Further a Mythological Story enlightened little minds and hearts. Garba Dance was the attraction of the Day. The enthusiasm shown by kids while dancing was infectious. They enjoyed the complete day and also learnt how to be helpful to the parents during various festivities.
To celebrate the festival and make children understand the significance of the festival, the Candle and Diya decoration activity was organised for various classes on 20th October. The activity began with the story of Lord Rama and the significance of Diwali in our lives. Children unleashing their creative selves decorated the diyas and candles. To add more festive vibes to the day, students of other grades made beautiful colourful posters. Their awareness of going for a green Diwali was quite evident in these creative posters. This enhanced their kinesthetic skills and creativity. School undertook a rally on 'Say No to Fire Crackers' with the aim to curb air and noise pollution emanating from bursting of crackers and to sensitize students about the ill effects of burning firecrackers. Students took along their posters to create awareness among people residing near school and encouraged them not to burst crackers and save environment. Students along with teachers also enjoyed making of Rangoli in the school corridors and reception areas with eco-friendly colours and flowers.
Our honourable Principal ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak, lighted the lamp and told students about Green and Safe Diwali. Children enjoyed and learned about the festival. It was a great and joyful day of lights for all of us.
